TT User Setup

TT User Setup is a free, client-server application used by administrators to configure traders for Universal Login which allows a trader to log in to multiple exchanges with a single username and password. TT User Setup versions 7.1 and later also replace the Guardian Admin screens for setting up pre-trade risk limits.

Benefits of TT User Setup

  • Configure traders to trade on multiple exchanges with a single username and password
  • Easily construct rules for password complexity, reuse, expiration and lockout
  • Run multiple servers for high login availability with automatic data replication among servers
  • Use “copy” and “assign” functionality to eliminate duplicate data entry and to quickly and accurately configure traders
  • Limit the number of X_TRADER® workstations a trader can be logged in to; this helps control traders’ license consumption
  • Monitor usernames and software versions of logged in users
  • Avoid having to setup passwords in Windows User Manager/Active Directory

X_TRADER®/X_RISK® Integration

  • Control X_TRADER customer defaults; provides control over which account numbers a trader can use per market, gateway, product type or product
  • Control various X_TRADER properties such as “Avoid Orders that Cross”
  • Configure administrative permissions for an X_RISK user

Versions 7.1 and Later

  • Automatic upgrade from Guardian Risk
  • Run multiple variations of reports and export them to a CSV file or HTML
  • Easily sort and filter data; for example, start typing into a filter to reveal all users who are set up to trade a specific product
  • Configure group administrators with rights to manage only specific groups of users, account numbers, exchange credentials and risk limits
  • Configure an administrator who is only able to unlock traders and reset their passwords
  • Configure a max long/short position limit to help risk-manage spread traders
  • Run diagnostic checks to ensure that traders and accounts are set up properly
  • Collect log files from remote machines in the environment
  • View an audit trail that captures updates to traders and their risk, etc.

Mass Editing

Easily edit large amounts of data in mass; some useful examples include:

  • Switch between X_TRADER and X_TRADER Pro for many traders at once
  • Update a position limit for many traders at once
  • Update a credit limit for many traders at once
  • Add a new gateway to many users at once
  • Add or remove multiple traders’ login access to a particular gateway

Planned for 2010

  • Apply a user-level credit limit, as opposed to the credit limit that is per member/group/trader ID (this is useful for traders who trade with multiple IDs)
  • Configure FIX Adapter clients and servers
  • Limit the number of X_TRADER workstations that a group of traders can be logged in to
  • Force traders to log on to specified gateways (force them to download their positions)
  • Control which X_TRADER versions are allowed to log in
