Trading Technologies Statement Regarding CQG News Release

CHICAGO, March 30, 2007 — CQG's March 29, 2007 press release titled "CQG DOM Free of TT Patent Threat" is misleading. CQG offers multiple versions of a ladder order entry product. One of those versions is a dynamic ladder with only one mode of operation -- the inside market is always and continuously centered. CQG released this product after TT sued CQG for patent infringement. TT has never asserted that that specific CQG screen infringes the patents-in-suit. In many of the 17 settlements reached by TT with other members of the industry, products that operate in that manner were specifically blessed and permitted. TT does continue to assert infringement against CQG's other ladder order entry products. The Court's recent claim construction ruling had no impact on which CQG products infringe TT's patents-in-suit.
